The founders, driven by pride in their heritage and a passion for entrepreneurship, envisioned more than just an event. They imagined a gathering that could strengthen relationships, open new doors for trade and innovation, and leave a lasting legacy for generations to come.
With roots in every corner of South African industry — from hospitality and construction to law, finance, engineering, and retail — the Greek business community has always been a quiet powerhouse. Agora SA aims to make that power visible, celebrated, and united. It’s a place to share stories, discover opportunities, and build something greater together.

Founders
Savvas Pouroullis
Chief Executive Officer & Co-Founder
Savva is a dynamic South African entrepreneur, business leader and dedicated community activist with proud Greek Cypriot roots. As Chairman of SAMPEC (South African Mineral Processing Equipment Cluster) and Director at Manhattan Corporation Group, he has consistently championed local innovation and industrial advancement.
Fuelled by a strong commitment to building meaningful connections and empowering communities, Savvas co-founded Agora SA to celebrate the outstanding contributions of the Greek business community in South Africa, creating a dynamic platform where opportunity, culture and entrepreneurship converge.
Previously, he held senior leadership roles at Sasol, including Vice President of the global joint venture Sasol Dia Acrylates (a US$200 million turnover pa company) and led strategic portfolios in Supplier Development, Supplier Funding and Social Enterprise Development.
Just some of his current and past roles includes serving on his local Community Police Forum, the South African Supplier Diversity Council (SASDC), the Cypriot Association of South Africa (CASA), SAHETI (South African Hellenic Educational and Technical Institute) and Hellenic Radio (New Panhellenic Voice).
Heidi Pouroullis
Chief Operating Officer & Co-Founder
Heidi is the Founder and Director of Pink Flair Catering and Events, a leading company renowned for curating and conceptualizing exceptional experiences for major corporate clients across Gauteng.
With a robust background in Communications and extensive expertise in organizing large-scale conferences and events, Heidi is passionate about crafting impactful and memorable experiences. This passion inspired the creation of Agora SA 2026, driven by her commitment to rebuilding connections, fostering trust and increasing awareness within the Greek community.
Previous corporate experience included long stints at Internet Solutions, where her skills and talent at managing annual major events were regularly tested as well as at Sasol, where her appetite for the corporate events arena was first kindled.
Her work is guided by her values of resilience, passion, and unwavering optimism, which continually propel her towards excellence.
